Join Jaguar Clubs from all over Texas for a drive, sight-seeing, and fun with other Jaguar enthusiasts!

Spring Fling Information

The 2024 Spring Fling will be hosted by the Jaguar Club of Houston.

The event will be held in the La Grange/Round Top/Schulenberg area. The map shows the area and a general idea of what the drive will be like.

Hampton Inn, La Grange, TX

A block of rooms has been set aside at the Hampton Inn in La Grange with special pricing:

To book with our special Spring Fling pricing:

5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- "Meet and Greet" in hotel conference room
  - Beer, wine, sodas and snacks will be provided
6:30 p.m.
- Dinner at Riverside Café, La Grange
  - Both Mexican and American dishes served

Breakfast is included at hotel or members can go out on their own. Weikel's Bakery is located 2 minutes from the hotel
9:30 a.m.
- Monument Hill State Historic Park
  - We will start the day by meeting at the park which is a 5-minute drive from our hotel
9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
- This is a beautiful property on the Colorado River with unique Texas history and original buildings. A guide will lead us on a 30 minute easy walk. Members can additionally walk to see the Kreische Brewery which was the first commercial brewery in Texas
11 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Drive to Painted Church #1
11:30 a.m. - Noon
- Drive to Round Top, TX
Noon - 1:30 p.m.
- Lunch choice at Popi Burger or Royer's Café. These restaurants are located close to one another and we have reservations at both for 20 people each. There are other restaurants in the areas if wanted.
1:30 p.m. - About 4 p.m.
- Three more painted churches with scenic drive
6:30 p.m.
- Dinner at Sealand Seafood and Steak (2 minute drive from our hotel)
  - Dinner is a fixed menu with choice of fish, chicken, for steak
